"The Lord makes firm the steps of those who delight in Him; though they stumble, they will not fall. For the Lord upholds them with His hand." ~Psalm 37:23-24

Help me Father.

In all that goes on in my life,

Let my heart and faith be set
Only on You, and not forget the
Very blood that flows in me
Even by Your life and death

My heart is crying out.
Yet I won't be overwhelmed.

Find me faithful to the end, even
At Your throne with no pretense.
Take me, break me, love me, show me
Heart, Soul, Ways, and Story.
Every day my soul is longing
Run to me, oh Father help me!

"I chose you, beloved. I chose you as My own.

Let Me love you fully, firmly.
Open to Me; My heart is yearning.
Vacate your home and find it in Me,
Exploring the hills of eternity.

Young and tender, you're loved so strongly.
One moment with you, I'll become your longing.
Undone, Ravished, My heart for you's pulling.

My beloved, turn to Me!
One day at a time, I'll love you freely!
Rest in Me, I am your sustaining
Every time you look, you overcome Me!"

Brooding

I feel the presence of the Holy One stirring up the waters.

Travail.

We're in a war, and it's like the two armies are about to collide like never before. This is not a skirmish, it's a head-on assault.

Through the past decades, I fear the church has grown comfortable, fat, and happy. We've assumed that since all seems to be going "well", God must agree with our lifestyle.

But what if we're losing?

In His Word, God did not guarantee that He would never leave this nation.

America is not God's chosen people.

Nevertheless, His heart longs for the people in this land to awaken to their destiny! There has to be an awakening in the church, or God will judge this land. How am I so sure?

What if all this doomsday speaking was just hype to get people to join our groups, ministries, and organizations, and really, God is happy with the way things are?

Is God okay with murder?

Will He remain silent while His beloved ones are raped and used for the pleasure of demons and evil men?
Can He not act when He hears the cry of millions upon millions of innocent children being slaughtered without mercy?
Will He remain silent while His people are corrupted before the TV with one sex scene here, one murder scene there, a little joke about sin there, while the enemy whispers in our ears, "It's okay, it just shows who the are. It's character development. It's not sin to see someone else's sin, is it? You'll feel better after watching another one."

I cannot cry loud enough.

I cannot pray long enough.
My soul is learning well the ways of war; of travail and intercession.
But I will not stand for sin in the camp.

Is it too brazen to drive a spear through two lovers in order to stop the judgement from coming? Phineas was seen as righteous in the Lord's eyes for killing two people while they were on the bed.

"That was then, this is now. Now we have Jesus."

Do you think that because God's mercy has triumphed over judgement, He doesn't care anymore? What if the judgement of God is all the more strict because of the grace of Jesus?

Are we willing to believe that God will hold us accountable for how we used His Son's blood?

The blood of Jesus takes away sins. It does not cover them like mortar in order to lay more of them upon it.

Is it okay to get angry at a fellow brother or sister in Christ for saying a cuss word in a sermon while we give our time unhindered to indulging our own pleasures with sin? It is too late to feel sorry for ourselves because we didn't get everything we wanted. People are dying for the Gospel, and many more are dying without it—I know, you've heard it before.

That doesn't make it less real.

My heart yearns for you to know the worthiness of Jesus. If we know that He is worthy of everything we have to offer, and more, could we possibly live a life sold-out like the apostles? Could we be men and women of renown, known in Heaven for our faithfulness, known in hell for our authority, and known on earth for our humility?

After reading this, I ask that you do not take it lightly. Whether you become enraged, or are broken, please do not be passive.

Passivity is defeat.

We, as the church of God, have two options: Fight, or run.

I'm praying for you.

I wish you could hear my voice. Perhaps then you would be convinced to do whatever it takes to "cleanse the camp" of all sin.

A pure heart comes from a pure conscience. A pure conscience comes from obedience. Obedience comes through faith. Faith comes through hearing. Hearing comes from the Word of God.

Oh God have mercy on us.

Let us submit ourselves to each other, and fight for one another's destiny. I don't wanna be proud, sarcastic, or bitter in exhortation. Please understand, this is all about Jesus. The only reason I'm alive is because of Jesus, and the only reason I'm not a bitter, porn-addicted, God-hating man is because of Jesus.
His mercy is stronger.
His Love is stronger.
He's not angry at you. He's furious with the enemy.

Praise God that the enemy will be destroyed in the lake of fire!
All glory to the Lamb for His justice on the foe!
Bless the Lord for His great mercy in which He has given us VICTORY through His name!

Hallelujah!!!

The Grace of Jesus be upon you all.

Trustfall

"The only thing I'm asking you to do now is rest."

The sound of the Father's voice stirred the resonating strings of my heart.

"Don't you remember that My voice is what causes your heart to burn?"

Instantly, all the past struggles of not knowing if it was God or if it was me came to the light and were perfectly clear. The voices that commanded me around, promising good from it, these were exposed as lying voices. The voices that would mysteriously say random phrases or show pictures in my mind while praying, these were shown to be faulty. Yet the voice that has both commanded and shown, the voice that has led me to pray for the homeless man, the voice that has caused me to repent openly to other believers, caused me to weep over the Word of God, caused me to prophesy the word of the Lord with clarity in answer to the difficult questions of a desperate mother... the voice that has led me in green pastures, and walked me beside still waters, and guided me through the shadow of death, this is the voice of my Beloved God. His name is Yahweh, His name is Adonai, His name is Jesus.
There is no one like this Man!

Why are you reading this right now? Possibly because you like reading my messy posts? Perhaps because you were intrigued? I submit that it may be because Father has been pressing the topic of rest, ministry, worship, leadership, or transformation on your heart.

I have something very simple to say.

The only thing different between you and me is how we were made. We are both capable of doing the same evil, and both capable of being fully yielded to the power and love of Yahweh. We are both limited and weak, we are both dearly loved by God. We are both called to live in purity, and we will both be held 100% accountable for how we use, abuse, and redeem our time.

My heart is burning. Is yours?

His heart is yearning, longing for nearness with you. Is there anything that is hindering that intimacy?

---Do you want to know His voice more than the voice of the accuser?
---Do you want to walk in victory?
---Do you want to be successful in life, and have boldness before His throne?
---Do you want to be made one with God?
---Do you want to fulfill your destiny for your life, and not waste another moment?

Just say yes, please, just say a big huge "YES!!!" to His call on your life. Please answer yes to one of those questions.

If you're not moved by the thought that God cares enough to give you His very life, it's time to take a step back and to ask to be broken by the chief Cornerstone.

Which brings me to the point of this post, and the answer to the above questions.

Something in you SOOOO wants to be used by God in a mighty way. Something in you longs to be famous in Heaven. Something in you is not, and will not be okay until you find that secret that sends you into the eternal adventure of what you were born to do.

...

Take a moment to close your eyes, and let Him minister to you.

...

Just a moment to lock eyes with Jesus.

...

A little moment to rest in the loving arms of your loving Abba.

...

No hurry. He's been waiting at least 6,000 years of time to love you. Let the emotion of the Father, and the affection of the Bridegroom Jesus impact you.
It's okay to feel good in God's presence.

...

Just rest, and use your God-given imagination to picture what He says is true: you're seated with Christ in Heavenly places. Lean on His chest like John did, or let Him hold your right hand like He spoke to Israel in the book of Isaiah, or let His word kiss you.

...

You feel that fire?
He is zealous for His bride.
He's not a passive white teenage American. He's a radical, intense, all-powerful, most-tender, emotional, relational, protective, passionate, strong, beautiful, Father and Lover.

Do you get it?
It's not about you doing something for Him.

I have the answer to every question of the soul:

He likes you.

This is the shield of faith: knowing and believing that He loves you, and likes to be with you, and not agreeing with any lie, no matter how convincing it may be, that comes against the knowledge of who He is. The darts of the enemy come to distract, hurt, and to destroy you.

The goal of satan is to make you believe his accusation against God. He wants you to believe that God will let you down, that He will fail you, that He will be unable to help you forever, that He doesn't have an amazing plan for your life, that He doesn't care about the little things, that He likes to see people hurting and dying.

If you see any of those darts sticking out of your heart right now, by faith, though it may hurt, GET THEM OUT! Do not believe the lies of the enemy! Lies bring fear and hopelessness.

He's not okay with His people living in the kingdom of darkness.

Whew. I'm done ranting.

He loves. How do you know He loves you? Is it through an experience or encounter that He gave you? Is it because you just grew up that way and choose to believe it? Is it because the Bible tells you so?
Whatever the reason you believe God loves you, hold onto that with all your might!

Then go and rest in Him. Trust Him. He is able to protect you and help you to fight and win the battles in your life.

He is able and willing and longing to love you more.

That's what this is all about. I'm writing this to say simply, "you need to rest in Him, to stop outputting or inputting from other sources, to close the door, get rid of all distractions, and let Him show you His love."

A heart that waits for God is a heart that will be strengthened in God.
How?
Because...

He is real, and shows Himself to those who wait patiently.

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty." (The rest of the Psalm is really amazing too.)

I'm loved, and so are you. :D

It's okay to be happy. ;)

God is not done with you

So you've denied His name. You've shut Him out and binge watched through three Netflix shows. You've fallen to temptations. You've lied to your parents, stolen from your best friends, or committed adultery.

Before thinking that I'm just gonna hype you up with some good-feeling nonsense, let me say that I am interested in your spiritual health as a human being and your growth in the Lord.

That being said, I have been wrestling with a question:
Why did God let His Son be born into a family tree that was defiled with gentiles and fornication?
Usually, in a genealogy, only the fathers are listed in succession, but in Jesus' line there are four women worth mentioning. All four of them are from different backgrounds and circumstances, and have different ways of being grafted into the line of the promised Seed, Jesus.

The first is Tamar.
The daughter of Judah, her husband, Judah’s firstborn, was killed for doing evil in the sight of the Lord. She then was married to the second oldest so she could bear a child for the oldest son. He was not faithful to perform the husband-ly thing because he didn't want to bear children by her to his older brother. So God killed him.
Dang. I’ll get to that.
Back to Tamar. She didn’t want to grow old without having a child, and so she dressed up like a prostitute and enticed her dad to sleep with her. Somehow the guy didn’t even know it was her until he was about to have her stoned for adultery. Long story short, she has a kid by her dad, and that kid is the ancestor of Jesus.

Why did God kill these wicked men? Possibly because they were in the line of Jesus, and thus could not be compromised, or else the Seed could not enter the world? Perhaps it was God’s mercy on the entire world to nip that evil in the bud. Whatever the reason, God let the adulterated son of Judah be His own ancestor.

The second woman mentioned is Rahab.
Rahab was a prostitute. An enemy. A gentile.
How could God let a gentile woman be grafted into the holy lineage of His Son? If He was so intent about having a pure line from Judah that He killed the unfaithful husband, why is He letting a foreigner into His very story?
It shows us something about how God relates to humans. He showed us that by faith Abraham inherited the promise (Heb. 11:8-19). If Abraham, by faith, inherited what God was giving him, why not an unsaved prostitute? She believed the word which was spoken to her, and by that faith, her and her household was saved.
In her act of faith, she separated herself from her entire people, and cast herself upon the mercy of God through Israel. God honored her obedience, and granted her to be part of the royal Line.

The third woman mentioned is Ruth.
Ruth was a moabitess, also a gentile. When her mother-in-law, Naomi, left Israel because of a famine, Ruth married one of Naomi’s sons. Long story short, Ruth so loved Naomi that she chose to return to Israel and stay with her rather than go back to Moab and settle down with a good husband and a good future. Because of her love for Naomi, she chose to be a worshipper of Yahweh, to abandon all she had and become like an Israelite. She worked long days in the field of Naomi’s relative, Boaz, and ended up being redeemed by him through marriage. Boaz was Rahab’s son. So Ruth, a pure gentile, just married a man whose mother was pure gentile, and her great grandson would turn out to be… king David.
Why did God let not only one, but two foreign women--even enemies of Israel--become part of His own literal family tree?
I believe the answer is in Psalm 45:10-17. “Forget your own people also, and your father’s house; so the King will greatly desire your beauty; because He is your Lord, worship Him… I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.”
It’s because God is seeking those who will worship in spirit and in truth. The promise is to those who believe.

So what does this have to do with you?
I’m getting there. It takes a few thousand years, remember?

The fourth woman is Bathsheba.
Uh-oh. We know that name, don’t we?
God? You mean to tell me you let her be part of Your story?
So, Bathsheba is not blamed, nor declared guiltless in this story. She was lusted after by King David when he was in disobedience and all alone in the palace. We all know the story. Her husband was killed, and because of David’s sin, her child bore some of the penalty. Yet through her came Solomon, who was the great(22) grandfather of Joseph… Mary’s husband.

So, what do we have?
God shows Himself to us as One who avenges (Tamar), One who sees (Ruth), One who extends mercy to all (Rahab), One who will never turn away anyone who will turn to Him, and as One who forgives and restores beyond what we can comprehend (Bathsheba).

That means this: No matter what you feel right now, your Father will not fail you, and He will bring the promises to pass. It means that He can and will restore you. He takes the weight of sin away, He forgives debts, He revives life, He restores love, and He loves without fault.
The focus is not on you, it’s on Him. He’s glad you exist.
He likes you.

So, no matter what’s happened, turn to Him like David turned, and repent. In His grace, you will stand firm.

Brothers, sisters, it’s been real.

God bless you all.
