"The Lord makes firm the steps of those who delight in Him; though they stumble, they will not fall. For the Lord upholds them with His hand." ~Psalm 37:23-24

Forever Faithful

(This is a post I posted about six months ago on my friends blog, and I thought I would put it on here too.)

“1 Corinthians 1:9 - God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”

“He’s faithful to the end. He’s faithful to my heart. He’s faithful to the end. He will come and marry me.”

He is faithful. He has called us into fellowship with His Son.

The dictionary definition of faithful is “worthy of trust; doing one’s duty; keeping one’s promise; loyal; true”. He goes way beyond the dictionary definition of faithful.

He is faithful to us when we turn away. He isn’t faithful out of obligation. He is faithful because He wants to be. He is faithful out of love. He is one-hundred percent above and beyond worthy of our trust, because He did what He had to do, He died for us, but He didn’t do it out of duty. He died simply because He is faithful, and He is love.. He always keeps His promises.

He isn’t faithful just part of the time.
He is always faithful.

Faithfulness is part of who He is, and if He was were to be unfaithful to just one of His children He would be being unfaithful to Himself.
He would be disowning Himself.

He is faithful even when we turn away and forsake Him
He is faithful to us even when we want nothing to do with Him.
Even though we are messed up and broken sinners He still keeps His promises.
He doesn’t forsake us when we walk away from Him,
He’s always right there with us through our doubts and our pain, because He is faithful, He is true.
He goes beyond our definition of loyalty.

The dictionary defines loyalty as, “True and faithful to love; true and faithful to one’s promise.”

He is loyal to His love for us, there’s nothing we can do to make Him love us any less.

He looks at our hurting and messed up hearts and is overcome with love.
He’s faithful to our hearts, because He is faithful to His love.

Even when we leave Him behind and chase after other things to satisfy us, when we chase after the things of this world looking for love, He is faithful, even then He is faithful. To do something out of love is doing something simply because of love, not to get anything in return. Having the desire for the other person’s happiness.

The dictionary defines true as “real, genuine, faithful, loyal, exact, unchanging."

His faithfulness is real, it’s genuine, it never changes. It is exactly what He says it is.
God’s faithfulness is always the same, it’s unconditional.
It doesn’t change base on the reaction He gets from us.
It doesn’t change based on the condition of our hearts.

It’s always there.

He chooses to call us his beloved. The love God has for His bride cannot be untied, it is the only eternal love. His love is faithful to the end. It never gives up. It will never end, because it has no end. He is faithful today and He always will be faithful. His faithful is out of His eternal love.

There is no love apart from God.

He “has called us into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 1:9)” The fellowship he has called us into is ongoing, it’s eternal. It isn’t just a one-time hanging out with Him kinda thing. It’s a relationship with Him that never stops. It goes on and on. It’s meant for everyday. He’s always there with us, in fellowship with us, because we have the Holy Spirit inside of us. We are called to be set apart for Christ. He is forever faithful.

Jesus holds us in an intimate fellowship with Him constantly. He cannot let us go. And even when we mess up and are unworthy of his love He’s not going to leave us behind for someone else. He’s going to pick us back up and carry us through. We don’t have to be worthy of his love, because He is worthy. He is forever faithful. Faithfulness and trust go hand in hand. Faithfulness is who God is and always will be and trust is us learning to place everything in His hands, in His love, and in his faithfulness.

My Savior

There's a Love that takes all my pain
And walks with me through the rain
There's a Hope that comes and holds my hand
And tells me it's okay to stand
There's a God who wipes away all my tears
And chases away my greatest fears
There's a Peace that overtakes my heart
And a Light that chases away the dark
There's a Joy that overcomes all strife
And is so much better than all this life
There's a Grace that covers all my sin
And changes me from within
There's a Rock in whom I put my trust
And a King who picked me up from the dust
There's a Daddy who calls me his own
And everything to Him I owe
There's a Strength that carries me day by day
And a Savior who goes with me all the way
He's the one far better than all the rest
His beautiful name is Jesus

Identity!

We are dead to sin.  (Colossians 3:3) and Christ is our life!  Now the God of peace Himself has sanctified us completely and our spirit, soul, and body. Will be preserved BLAMELESS until He returns. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Romans 5:1-11 He died for us so now we are justified by His blood so shall we be saved! Another key piece of our identity is found in psalm 23 He is with us in every part of our life's Leading us in paths of righteousness. This is part of who we are because he is part of us! Romans 6:5-8 Christ is in us and we are now dead to sin and baptized into His death! We need to forget what is behind us and press foreword to what is beautiful! Sin is no longer a part of me! That is why I put it off!!!! We are no longer under the law but under grace. Sin is no longer my master! He loves me so I am changed!

A journal entry!

In this life I will live.  In this life I will give, but only to one will I give, and only with one will I live.  So don't awaken me.  Don't awaken me because I only want to be ready.  Don't awaken me because I will be happy with who you are.  All that I need is all that you are.  So I'll trust you with my dreams because you're all I need.

I Will Exalt

Your presence is all I need

It's all I want, all I seek

Without it, without it there's no meaning
Your presence is the air I breath
The song I sing, the love I need
Without it, without it I'm not living

I will exalt You, Lord, I will exalt You, Lord

There is no one like You God
I will exalt You, Lord, I will exalt You, Lord
No other name be lifted high

There will be no one like You

And no one beside You
You alone are worthy of all praise
There will be no one like You
And no one beside You
You alone are worthy of all praise
